Ostrich Investments Limited was incorporated in Jamaica in 2008. Ostrich Investments is an investment equity fund focused on the Jamaican, broader Caribbean market and Latin America including Brazil and Columbia whose mission is to generate exceptional long – term value for investors and shareholders by playing a leading role in the strategic management of its current and future portfolio companies. The principal shareholder is a well known and very successful investor in this market.
Ostrich Investments Private Equity Fund is targeted at investments in companies of a start-up or green-field nature, innovative business models in the technology sector, investments in distressed assets, infrastructure, and renewable energy, companies that provide outsourcing solutions as well as certain family owned and run businesses, recapitalizations and growth financing of established mature businesses in the export sector. These investments will cover geographic areas such as Jamaica, the wider Caribbean, Latin America including Brazil and Columbia. The Fund is targeted at small to mid size companies.

ANTHONY DUNN, Chairman and CIO
ANTHONY DUNN, Chairman and CIO – is the former Treasurer for Jamaica Public Service Company Limited, the only light and power company on the island of Jamaica. He had responsibility for the planning, directing and control of the operations of the Company’s Treasury Department including Financing, Investments, Cash management, Risk Management, Pensions, Banking and Agency Relationships and Bad Debt. Anthony has extensive training and experience in International Treasury Management and of the International Capital Markets. He was instrumental in leading JPS’ 2006 debut offering of a US$180 million 144 A/ Reg. S Senior Unsecured Notes to the international capital markets, the first issue of its kind by a Jamaican Corporate and was part of the team that worked on the divestment of Mirant’s shareholding in JPS to Marubeni Corporation of Japan in 2007.
Prior to joining JPS, Anthony was the Group Treasurer for Grace Kennedy, a large conglomerate in the Caribbean where he spent 15 years, mainly in Treasury and Finance management. He has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in International Cash and Treasury Management, Risk Management and Foreign Exchange trading and has participated in numerous local and international forums and discussions involving the international capital markets and treasury management.
Anthony was named in the Who’s Who Society’s 2003 Edition of the International Who’s Who of Professionals. He is a Founding Member of the Latin American Treasurers’ Leadership Council, a Latin Finance Institute and a Life Member of the International Association of Business Leaders. Anthony has participated in various voluntary roles having previously served the Grace Coop Credit Union in several capacities including Chairman of the Credit Committee and a board member for over eight years and the Grace and Staff Community Development Foundation as Treasurer and Director.
Anthony is a past participant in the Master’s Investment radio and TV programme having been a team member in 2001, 2002 and 2005. He is an avid equity investor having been investing in value companies for over twenty years and believes in buying equities based on a value proposition instead of solely on price. He has a passion for equity investing and has made substantial returns from investments in listed stocks on the Jamaican stock exchange over a three to five year period. He continues to invest in value companies such as Grace Kennedy, Scotia bank, Supreme Ventures, Radio Jamaica, First Caribbean Bank, Lascelles, Red Stripe and a host of other companies.
He has done extensive training in International Cash and Treasury Management, Foreign Exchange trading and Private Equity investing and holds a BBA degree from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Florida and an MBA from the Florida International University, Miami. During his spare time Anthony enjoys reading, playing golf, dominoes and lawn tennis.
